Attorney:
Law firm seeking associate attorney with a minimum of 5 years experience in Texas state court litigation with a background in construction, real estate or commercial litigation. Experience in real estate transactions and construction law matters or first party insurance claims is preferred. Candidate will work as client, court and counsel point of contact and be responsible for all aspects of matters assigned whether for litigation, such as drafting pleadings, motions and briefs, discovery and depositions, attending and arguing matters at hearings and trial. Candidate will also be assigned tasks such as drafting real estate and construction transaction documents and negotiating same. Must have hands-on experience, strong research and writing skills, and deposition, hearing and trial experience. Seeking a self-starter who can work both independently and contribute to a team. Looking for the attorney who loves the practice of law. Will consider location flexibility to work both at home or in office.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Licensed State Bar Texas attorney
- 5 years minimum of years of Texas litigation experience
- Knowledge of Texas rules of procedure
- Experience with trial and arbitration litigation
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- proficient in use of Lexis
- Be friendly and work well in a social office environment
Candidate will receive client marketing assistance and be able to share in new client origination fees as agreed with the Firm. The Firm will also consider joint venturing cases and partnership arrangements.

Paralegal:
We are adding an experienced paralegal with a minimum of 3 years' experience in state court litigation and transactions for real estate and construction matters as well as personal injury and first party insurance claims. Candidate will work with clients, courts and opposing counsel as point of contact and litigation support. Candidate will update and calendar firm docket, perform legal research, draft correspondence, discovery, pleadings and related documents, and file documents in case and real property records.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of Texas litigation experience
- Knowledge of Texas and federal rules and procedures
- Experience with trial preparation and briefs.
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- Be friendly and work well in a social in-office environment
Educational Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred, and appropriate certification(s).
